Aarushi's Murder Mystery

A lot has been said and done, and it seems that Arushi's murder case has lost its authenticity and it is quite obvious that the end result could be deemed nothing more than dispersed debris of the truth! Many questions still remains unanswered..

AARUSHI TALWAR’S murder case has fetched significant national attention and could be easily termed as one of the most mysterious and talked about incidents in India. Facts and fictions have ominously obscured the sensational murder of the 14-year-old girl raising gruesome speculations and springing to fore the shallowness of professional ethics and social responsibilities. This murder mystery has become an example of newly evolved tendency of sensationalising matters in the Indian media, accusations of overkill and investigations of police and TV channels leading to chaos and hara-kiri.
A lot has been said about Aarushi that could be termed as character assassination by Noida police in its initial investigation. The language used by Noida police could be easily termed as a violation of social norms of decency. Before any conclusion could be reached, they maligned the character of the girl child tagging her as character-less. The police’s theory about her father, Dr Ramesh Talwar’s affair with Anita Durrani, and the knowledge of this to Aarushi and again father seeing Aarushi in an intimate relationship with the house aide, Hemraj, sounds absurd and embarrassing.
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), in its investigation, has said that it is not a matter of honour killing which Noida police had claimed in its reports. However, it seems that efforts have been made at extraordinary lengths to ensure that character assassination is complete, wherein a TV channel even came up with a sleazy MMS confirming that the girl in the video was Aarushi. Recently, the Information & Broadcasting Ministry had to issue a show cause notice to Balaji Telefilms prohibiting from telecasting the episode in a serial depicting honour killing and also to the TV channel on telecasting the MMS of the school kid which was obscene, derogatory, disparaging and against good taste and decency norms.
Right since CBI took over this case for investigation, every now and then a new theory makes inroads for further analysis and speculations. Even after the detection of so many aspects, CBI is still searching for actual path, and people are not able to link the various events in a meaningful manner. In the hind sight, one could easily find out one common factor- and that is accusations. Right since the day of this event, people are confronted with new accusations being made and lies after lies to cover up such accusations. A lot has been said and it seems that this case has lost its authenticity, and it is quite obvious that the end result could be deemed as nothing more than dispersed debris of the truth.
In the first instance, the main suspect was Hemraj, going by the remarks of Talwars, which thankfully ended with his dead body being found on the terrace of Talwars’ flat. Noida police then accused Dr Talwar as the main culprit of murdering his daughter which again has not fallen in place up till now. CBI traded a different path accusing Krishna, the compounder of Dr Talwar, as the main culprit and told in Ghajiabad court and even revealed in press release of his confession. It was believed that the case would find definite direction after Krisna’s confession of his involvement in the murder and his giving a clean chit to Talwars.
But the question arises, why is Dr Talwar still in custody? Why are lie detector tests being performed one after another on Durrani, Nupur Talwar, the servant of Durrani- Rajkumar and even Ramesh Talwar? If Krishna is the culprit, then CBI should have not conducted further tests and trials on them. But the truth is far from reach even to this point. CBI has found discrepancies in Krishna’s statements when subjected to various tests including narco-analysis and lie-detector tests.
The motive of the murder has not yet been pin pointed, as every theory has

failed to lead to any conclusion, neither have the real culprits being unveiled until now. It is difficult to understand whether the CBI is deliberately keeping all the details under cover or maybe it really doesn’t have anything substantial to come up with. It has been more than a month and we are still in dilemma about the truth in Aarushi’s case. Is it Krishna or Rajkumar, or Dr Talwar who is the main culprit; or is there any other person who is not in the picture yet, is the sculpture of this murder mystery? The question remains unanswered as of now and speculations are at rife!
